About Alice
Alice H. Murray practiced as an adoption attorney in Florida for thirty-five years, placing newborns for adoption from the hospital. Now retired from active law practice, she pursues her passion for writing.

Alice’s first book, The Secret Of Chimneys, an annotated Agatha Christie work, was released in April 2023. She has an adoption devotional scheduled for publication in October 2025 by Iron Stream Media.

Alice writes a weekly blog tinged with humor (aliceinwonderingland.wordpress.com), a weekly faith column (https://www.patheos.com/blogs/feettofaith/), and three devotions a month for Dynamic Women In Missions’ Facebook page. Her work has been published in The Upper Room, several Short And Sweet books, Chicken Soup For The Soul, Guideposts publications, and various compilation works. She is a regular contributor to and editor for GO! Magazine, a quarterly Christian magazine published in the Florida Panhandle.

In addition to writing, Alice can talk. She has a weekly two-minute spot, “Murray’s Motivational Moments,” which airs on digital radio station Christian Mix 106. Alice enjoys teaching English to non-native speakers through a joint community ministry in her local area.

Alice lives in Niceville, Florida with her recently retired husband John, who is an international adoptee born in Turkey. They live with (and serve) their three fur babies, 2 dogs and 1 cat. As is fitting for a writer, Alice’s cat Mocha is a six-toed Hemingway cat. Her human family includes two adult children, one stepdaughter, and two grandsons. Alice’s hobbies include reading, doing crossword puzzles, trying new recipes, cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs football team, and attending her grandsons’ sporting events.
